Have you heard about Mrs. Obama's new vegetable garden at the White House? What a good idea, and it's hard to believe there has not been a garden there since WWII!

As a little girl, I would spend summers in our backyard garden. Living in the country and having a constant supply of berries, corn, green beans, and flowers is something I miss. Living in a downtown apartment without any outdoor space (not even a balcony!) has given me a new perspective on how much I need green grass and a garden.
