One Hot Recipe

My aunt developed this recipe and it was requested multiple times on our family vacation to the Outer Banks.  She showed me how to make it, and I meant to test it out on Zach's family this weekend.  Since we never got around to it with all the festivities, I ended up making it last night for just the two of us.  We curled up on the couch and watched Shanghai Noon, a classic from our dating days.

Jalapeno Popcorn

Heat several tablespoons of canola oil in a medium saucepan.
Using a jar of jalapenos, add as many as you can handle to the oil.**
Cook over medium-high for about 8 to 10 minutes.
When the jalapenos start to get crunchy, add the popcorn kernels to the pan.
You will need to shake the pan often to get the kernels hot enough to start popping.
Have a large bowl ready to pour the popcorn into once it starts popping.
Salt well and enjoy!

** please be warned: this recipe can pack some serious heat, but it is addictive  :)
