valentines

One of the great things about being a teacher is that my kids anticipate holidays and it reminds me to celebrate them too. My favorite things about this Valentine's day include:

• Getting valentines from some of my students (for high school teachers this is a big deal)
• Zach surprising me with flowers 3 days before Valentine's day so I could enjoy them all week
• Going to Fresh Market to pick out our favorite treats for a date
• Watching "How I Met Your Mother" Season 1
• Spending the day with Zach's family helping them move his grandma's things
• Finding her set of vintage aprons that are even better than those from Anthropologie
