During the month of August, Zach and I have gotten caught up watching a couple Travel Channel series while waiting for the new fall shows to begin. Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations has surprisingly become a favorite, but we were intrigued by a commercial for Man v. Food in Indianapolis. We had to watch.
Although the host spent most of his time on the track and at a burger joint in Carmel, we did see a few shots of our neighborhood in the footage. One of his stops was to Edward's Drive-In close to downtown, so we decided to check it out.
Our conclusions:
1. Man v. Food doesn't show that Edward's it is right next to a massive factory.
2. Eat here if you want to die soon from a heart attack.
3. Very friendly staff
4. Zach tried his first ever tenderloin sandwich.
5. Not really a true drive-in, like Mug n' Bun or your classic A&W or B&K root beer stand.

My brother used to work at Edward's! And I just discovered Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations too and have been watching an episode a day on DVD. Love it!
